Gabrielle Moran

Chief of Staff

Gabrielle Moran served as Chief of Staff for the Center for Maritime Strategy from 2022 to 2024. As the Center’s inaugural Chief of Staff, she led the Center’s programming and strategic development.

Her research interests include transatlantic diplomacy, civil-military relations, and military mobility. Her work has appeared in the Jerusalem Strategic Tribune and Europe’s Edge. In addition, she contributed to the Center for European Policy Analysis report, Moving Mountains for Europe’s Defense.

Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Moran worked on the Transatlantic Defense and Security Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis and at H+H Strategies. Previously, she interned with the United States Senate, German American Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Department of State, and the British Defence Staff in the United States.

She holds a Bachelor of the Arts from American University’s School of International Service with a concentration in U.S. Foreign Policy Studies. Ms. Moran speaks Italian and French. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations Young Professionals Program.
