America’s Future Fleet: The Resurgence of Maritime Strategy
Thursday, November 19, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Navy League of the United States
The Center for Maritime Strategy will be hosting the fifth annual America’s Future Fleet, a day-long conference bringing together leaders from the think tank community, military, government, congressional staff, and industry to examine the forces shaping the future of U.S. national security.
As great-power competition intensifies and the demands on America’s naval forces grow, maritime strategy has returned to the center of the national security conversation. This year’s symposium, The Resurgence of Maritime Strategy, explores what that renewed focus means for policy, force structure, and the nation’s ability to secure the global commons.
The program will open with a keynote address, followed by expert-led panels on:
- The Imperative of a Maritime Strategy: why the United States needs a coherent strategy for the maritime domain, and what it should look like.
- Securing Maritime Chokepoints: protecting the critical waterways that underpin global trade and military mobility.
- The Fleet We Have and the Fleet We Need: assessing today’s naval force against the challenges ahead, and charting a path to close the gap.
Join us for a day of substantive discussion and networking with the people shaping America’s maritime future.
